Our business’ history begins 29 years before the very foundation of the actual Cofundi.
In the 1960s, Esteban Junquera, the father of the current owner of Cofundi, founded a workshop where templates and molds were made.
Later in the 80s Esteban invested in an aluminum melting furnace; he wanted to test his molds quality himself. When his customers knew about his newest acquisition, they asked him to mold their castings as well.
In the early 1990s, Esteban’s business was affected by the financial crisis in Spain.
Therefore, his son Jon Junquera founded Cofundi in the mid 90s.
Jon broadened the molding range and decided to grow horizontally. Recently, the Cofundi group has expanded to include the companies Cumetooling, Traterga and Fes.
At Cofundi we assure our clients that each and every piece are 100% produced and revised in our own workshops.
We have total control of all our processes, from casting and solidification simulation, design and manufacture of molds and tooling, to post-processing and controlled casting of the final product.
Since all phases of the product as: simulation, production, finishing, heat treatment, control and machining are performed exclusively in our factory, we provide our clients with:
